Goldwin, a Japanese technical outdoor apparel brand, on Tuesday announced the opening of its second retail flagship store—the brand’s first outside of Japan—with a new retail location in San Francisco, CA.
The store is located at 444 Jackson Street in the city’s Jackson Square neighborhood historically considered the design center of San Francisco. Goldwin plans to open its doors to consumers today.
Goldwin makes a broad range of technical apparel for skiing, hiking, running, and mountaineering as well as a line of compression gear. Because Goldwin is a brand that actively connects outdoor and city life, the brand combines technical aspects of apparel with a distinct fashion sensibility. The resulting apparel can withstand the toughest outdoor conditions while still looking great in urban environments.
“American outdoor enthusiasts expect the highest quality technical apparel and we are confident that Goldwin will deliver a head-to-toe range that will raise the bar for skiers, hikers, climbers and other athletes who test themselves in the outdoors,” said Goldwin’s general manager, Gen Arai. “Most American outdoor enthusiasts are just learning about Goldwin so with the new store location we are looking to provide a unique retail experience that connects urban city life with nature and adventure.”
Goldwin will debut its latest outdoor, athletic, ski and lifestyle collections for Fall 2019 with new signature garments like the waterproof and insulated Hooded Spur Down Coat and the simply designed Ascend Jacket, a durable 3-layer Gore-Tex jacket that performs in a variety of weather conditions, activities and environments. Designed for peak winter performance on the ski slopes, Goldwin’s new Arris Jacket and Arris pants deliver sophisticated style, versatility and technical performance.
