HitchFire has teamed up with Ignik as its official partner for refillable propane tanks. The partnership was formed in recognition of HitchFire’s commitment to reducing the use of single-use propane tanks and provide an easy and more cost-effective way for customers to power their hitch mounted grills.

The Ignik refillable Gas Growler holds 4.5 liters of fuel, or over nine times the propane housed in the disposable canisters and can be refilled at most propane filling stations.

“Ignik and Hitchfire formed a natural partnership. From our first conversation, it was clear that we had common values, products that fit well together and a lot of overlap in terms of customers,” said Graeme, founder & CEO, Ignik. “I look forward to seeing where these two brands go together, and we are glad to have Hitchfire’s support in the campaign to reduce waste and remove single-use propane bottles from our parks and landfills.”

HitchFire launched in 2020 with the Forge 15 model, named for its double high-output 7,500 BTU propane burners. Designed to be attached to vehicles with a standard 2-inch receiver and built on an articulating swing arm, the grill makes cooking quicker and cleaner than using your old camp grill. The hitch-mounted design keeps the mess out of vehicles and saves valuable trunk space.  Includes two side tables and an integrated bottle opener.
