Orienteering USA has announced Icebug as official footwear sponsor, marking the start of a three-year partnership between the organizations, in which Icebug Footwear will help promote and support the sport of orienteering within the US.

Along with providing financial support, Icebug will be onsite at Orienteering USA races to help with race support. Icebug will also educate racers on the brand’s olx traction technology, found in the Spirit4 olx and Ardor olx, which features fixed carbide steel studs built into the outsole for full-time optimum traction on the course.
Icebug’s ArchFlex Insoles will also be the official insole for the organization, providing comfort and unique, anatomically correct support to orienteerers while training and racing.

“Since the shoes with olx outsole technology were introduced in Europe, orienteering athletes in the United States have recognized Icebug as the superior orienteering shoe manufacturer” said Glen Schorr, Executive Director, Orienteering USA. “Partnering with Icebug and Archflex allows us to grow the sport of orienteering while also introducing our members to the best equipment.”

“Teaming up with Orienteering USA is ideal for the Icebug brand,” said Evan Wert, President of Icebug USA. “Orienteering is notorious for their slippery courses and fast pace, the perfect environment for Icebug shoes. As the sport of orienteering gains popularity, we want to position Icebug as the pre-eminent traction shoe brand, offering athletes the best footing on the craziest trails.”
