Ibex, the wool-infused outdoor brand based in Vermont, is being auctioned off, according to a report in the Burlington Free Press.
The Burlington Free Press reports that a planned sale of Ibex fell through earlier this year, and bids are due by Thursday for the company’s intellectual property. The brand, trademarks, domain names and customer databases were all available and the winning bid may be known this week, according to the report.
Ibex Chief Executive Officer Ted Manning, told the Burlington Free Press, “I have been pleased with the magnitude of interest we’ve seen in the IP,” Manning said Friday. “We’ve seen a lot of folks come forth and recognize the value in the brand. Many are in Vermont, many are not.”
In late November, Ibex said it would cease operations following a move to shut down its wholesale operations to focus on retail.
