Collective Licensing International (CLI) announced a new multi-year agreement to license the Hind brand to the U.S. company IApparel for the outerwear category in the North American market.

IApparel's Hind Outerwear collection will mark a first for the brand and is expected to be available in fall 2012 at various retail outlets in the U.S. and Canada.

“We are excited to see the Hind brand extend into outerwear, and iApparel is the perfect partner to make this important step happen,” said Bruce Pettet, CEO of CLI, the company that owns the Hind brand. “Despite the current economic climate, iApparel has experienced impressive growth in sales and market presence.  We see nothing but a strong and positive path for iApparel and Hind on this outerwear initiative.”

Founded in 1974, Hind is a leading performance brand created to maximize the potential of the individual athlete. Originally focused on competition and active swim apparel, the brand has since expanded into running, cycling, outdoor and fitness apparel for both the male and female athlete. The Hind brand will also extend into footwear in summer 2012.  Hind has a rich heritage in the performance apparel industry, including being one of the first brands to introduce compression apparel.

New York-based iApparel is a major manufacturer of outerwear apparel for both private label and branded products. Focusing on maximizing comfort, fashion and performance, the iApparel team will utilize its extensive sourcing network to find the best performance and technical fabrics and trims that will stand up to all elements for its initial Hind outerwear collection.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with CLI to bring Hind Outerwear to the marketplace,” said Alyssa Beachum, iApparel's VP of Sales. “As the epitome of fashion and function, Hind Outerwear is perfectly positioned to become a true market leader, and we are so excited to develop the brand's unlimited potential.”
