Horny Toad has hired Blair Bown as marketing manager. In her new role, Brown will work closely with sales, web and creative departments to develop and execute wholesale and web marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness.

We are thrilled to have Blair on board,” said Brian Thompson, Horny Toad global director of sales. “She brings an entrepreneurial approach to marketing that will serve the brand well. Her experience in this space and depth of relationships have allowed to her to have an immediate impact without the typical ramping up period for most new hires.”

A seasoned marketing professional with a passion connecting consumers, brands and environmental responsibility, Brown comes to Horny Toad from SATELite Foundation, a lifestyle and product marketing firm that she founded in 2010, focused on supporting the environment and community. Brown was also executive director of SATELite Festival, an action sports, arts and entertainment event in Squaw Valley, CA.

Prior to that, Brown founded a sustainable jewelry company and worked as a business development and marketing consultant for various start-up companies.

When not at work, Brown can be found living “TOADALLY,” traveling the globe, skiing, practicing yoga, or fly-fishing. Her adventure and cuddle buddy is Grizzly, a two-year-old black Goldendoodle who is acclimating quickly to a life of sandy beaches.
