Headsweats to Sponsor Women’s Running and Cycling Sponsorships

Headsweats continues their commitment to women’s athletics through sponsoring all four events of the Lady Speed Stick Women’s Half Marathon Series for 2012 and with a renewed sponsorship of the Team Colavita/espnW Women’s Pro Cycling Team.

Headsweats is proud to announce its partnership with the Lady Speed Stick® Women's Half Marathon & 5K Series including four locations in 2012. The events kick off in the fall with Bloomington, MN in August, followed by Nashville, TN in September, Scottsdale-Tempe, AZ in early November and finishing the season in St. Petersburg, FL in late November. Over 20,000 participants will be having fun and sweating it out between the four locations.

“It is a huge honor to be the exclusive headwear sponsor for the Lady Speed Stick® Women’s Half Marathon Series, the most popular women’s half-marathon series in the country,” said Headsweats founder and cycling enthusiast, Alan Romick. “Colavita once again has a strong squad, and we are proud to be a part of their exciting race season.”

The Colavita Team is looking to continue their two-year run of top ranking in USA Cycling’s rating of women’s cycling teams, and team strengths run deep with cyclists riding for the podium at one- and multi-day events, time trials, criteriums, as well as Olympic hopefuls. They began the 2012 season demonstrating strong teamwork at the 26th annual Tour of the Gila in New Mexico.
