Headsweats announced their partnership with Ryeka Sports. Toronto-based Ryeka Sports is the leading independent Canadian distributor of sporting goods for outdoor activities, action sports, snow sports and bike dealers.
“We selected Headsweats as our performance headwear of choice because they are innovative, have great brand equity in the marketplace and are wonderful to work with,” says Tim Pong, marketing director of Ryeka Sports. “We embraced their quality products and parallel visions and knew Headsweats would be well received by our enthusiastic Canadian audience.”
In addition to placing Headsweats products with the right retailers, Ryeka outfits teams in Headsweats performance headwear through their partner company, Race Day Customs (RDC). RDC was developed to provide pro quality customizable team performance gear for cyclists, triathletes and runners.
“When amateur athletes see the pros competing in grueling events like the Tour de France, Ironman Kona or the Boston Marathon in Headsweats hats and visors, they know the brand performs, and we are thrilled to be able to provide such high quality customizables to Canadian teams,” says Pong.
The partnership, which began last summer, is in full swing for the 2010 race season.
“This partnership has generated an enormous amount of business in a very short time,” says Mike McQueeney, Headsweats sales director. “Ryeka understands and appreciates the quality of Headsweats and knows how to market our products to their customers.”
