HanesBrands (HBI) entered a ten-year partnership with the University of Tennessee (UT) as its primary apparel partner. Under the agreement, HBI has exclusive rights to design, manufacture and distribute fanwear across mass and local channels.
UT joins the University of Southern California, University of Texas, The Ohio State University, University of North Carolina, University of Georgia, Villanova, and the University of South Carolina with HBI primary apparel partnerships.
HBI has developed a collection of men’s, women’s, unisex, youth, infant, and toddler fan apparel, including its Champion, Hanes brands and Alternative Apparel brand.
As part of the partnership, HBI will create special activations and enhanced retail presentations to elevate the UT brand and fan experience. In addition, HBI is partnering with Tennessee on a new, co-branded mobile merchandise kiosk for use at home athletic events.
In addition to these exclusive programs, Tennessee will continue its partnership with Nike as the provider of performance products and fan merchandise. Tennessee will also continue to license other apparel companies in key product categories.
