Atomic USA promoted Rick Halling to the General Manager of Atomic Outdoor – a division of Atomic that includes the nordic ski collection and its line of Koflach mountaineering boots.

Having worked with Atomic for nearly 18 years, Halling is no stranger to the world of the outdoors. Originally hired part-time in 1988 to assist with Atomic events (coincidentally developing his dependence on caffeine at the same time) Halling quickly ascended the ranks at Atomic, where he has gone onto managing nearly every aspect of the company’s outdoor business.

As General Manager of Atomic Outdoor – Halling will be responsible for all aspect of sales, marketing and product development for Atomic nordic product line and Koflach boots. Halling can be credited for the successful expansion of the Atomic nordic collection over the past two seasons, which now includes a complete offering of nordic boots, bindings, and poles.

“Anyone who knows Rick, knows how committed he is to the nordic community,” said Jack Baltz, president of Atomic USA. “His experience and insight to the market will be instrumental in developing Atomic’s future sales and marketing strategies.”
