Golfzon Co., Ltd., led by independent CEOs Park Kang-Soo and Choi Duk-Hyung, introduced Sean Pyun as the new CEO of Golfzon America, its American subsidiary.
Pyun’s hire aims to “accelerate Golfzon’s growth in the U.S.,” a market where the company sees the strongest growth potential and has invested significant resources in recent years.
Sean Pyun joins Golfzon America after having spent the last 16 years in various roles at the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), including managing director of international business affairs and VP and managing director of LPGA Asia, before leading the Association on Asia-related business affairs as chief business officer for Asia.
As one of the commercial executives at the LPGA over the last ten years, Pyun reportedly has brought on several key business opportunities for the LPGA, generating title sponsorship deals in seven countries, including several tournaments in the U.S.
“I am excited to lead Golfzon’s continued growth in the U.S. market.” said new U.S. chief for the company. “We believe in our abilities to become the industry leader in a market with the greatest growth potential for golf simulators.”
Golfzon America, a subsidiary of Golfzon, was founded in 2016. In 2022, Golfzon America, in partnership with Troon, launched the “Golfzon Social,” a sports pub-style complex at the Palisade Center in New York in February 2023, followed by the second branch in Scarsdale, NY, in August 2023. The company plans to open another location in Brooklyn in 2024, with a Manhattan location expected in 2025.
