Global Brand Marketing, Inc., owner of Pony International and Dry-shoD, and global footwear licensee of Diesel, XOXO, Nautica and Mecca has announced the promotion of Larry Slivka to Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales. In his new position, Slivka will oversee all aspects of US sales operations for each of GBMI’s brands and any other new brands that join the GBMI group.

“Larry Slivka’s thirty plus years of sales experience is a tremendous asset to GBMI,” said Killick Datta, Chief Executive Officer of Global Brand Marketing, Inc. “With an accomplished track record in sales and promotion, management and retail distribution, we look forward to Larry’s leadership and expertise in helping us drive GBMI’s business with our key retail partners.”

Slivka joined GBMI in July 2001 as Vice President of US Sales for XOXO Footwear. He added additional responsibilities in December 2002 when he was also appointed Vice President of U.S. Sales for Dry-shoD.

Slivka brings over 30 years of sales experience in the footwear industry and has been a viable resource of trends and fashion. Prior to joining GBMI, Slivka was Vice President of Sales for Nine West Group, and has also held positions as Vice President of Sales for Aerosoles, Liz Claiborne Shoes, and Intershoe Inc. Slivka brings with him extensive experience in managing sophisticated sales operations and executing custom marketing programs to drive sales with key retail partners and product development.

Working out of the corporate offices in Santa Barbara, CA, and reporting to CEO Killick Datta, Slivka will oversee and develop the sales strategy in the U.S. for each of GBMI’s divisions. Capitalizing on the company’s strong and diverse product lines, Slivka will work to strengthen the company’s presence within existing accounts by increasing the breadth of product offered, and enhancing each of the brand’s positioning at retail. The head of each brands’ U.S. Sales will report to Slivka.
