Global Brand Marketing Inc. is launching a new fashion brand, Mehandi, a women’s only label that provides for an exotic blend of artisan and sophisticated silhouettes debuting with the Spring/Summer 2007 collection.

Inspired by the ancient traditions of the Mehandi art form (henna), the footwear collection is defined by the innate craftsmanship of design, culture and ethnic style. The initial collection, which will retail between $60 and $80, celebrates its namesake with a range of lifestyle sandals that embrace elegant leather work, eclectic motifs/cross-cultural heritage, and ornate embellishments. The color palette is infused with shades that are soothing and exotic, influenced by Moroccan tile work, Indian fabrics and Asian landscapes.

The collection will debut at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) tradeshow June 6th and will be available in select department stores and specialty boutiques worldwide in November 2006.
