G-Form, a leader in athletic impact protection, welcomed Tinja-Riikka Korpela of FC Bayern Munich and the Finnish National Team as its newest soccer brand ambassador.
A native of Finland, Korpela is at the top of the women’s game and has played in some of its most prestigious matches – notably, the 2014 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final and the UEFA Women’s European Championships in both 2009 and 2013. She holds a total of six league titles with three of those wins at FC Honka of Finland’s Naisten Liiga, one in Norway with LSK Kvinner and most recently with FC Bayern Munich of Germany’s Bundesliga.
As first-choice goalkeeper for both the Finnish National Team and FC Bayern Munich, Korpela is playing and training year-round. When Korpela sought injury-preventing protective equipment, she was hard-pressed to find products that were female-specific.
