Herb Bauer Sporting Goods in Fresno is closing after 68 years in business.
“We are in good health, and simply retiring,” said a news release the retailer sent to The Business Journal.
“Unfortunately, we have not found a buyer for our camping, winter sports, water sports and cycling departments. This is a void that needs to be filled and it is a great opportunity for an energetic entrepreneur,” the release continued.
Moving into the location at Belmont and Blackstone will be a Turner’s Outdoorsman, which operates 21 stores, mostly throughout Southern California.
