Dropbox has appointed Don Blair, most recently the CFO at Nike Inc., to its board of directors.

During his 16-year tenure, Blair was widely regarded as one of the best CFOs in the S&P 500, Drew Houston, founder and CEO of Dropbox, in blog entry. On his watch, Nike’s revenue more than tripled and its market value increased more than eight-fold, he noted. Blair retired in October 2015.

Said Houston, “Nike has long been a source of inspiration to me, and it was clear from the first time I met Don that we shared a belief in building a brand — and a business — that stand for something.

“Before NIKE, Don was an executive at PepsiCo, with assignments including CFO for PepsiCo Japan (based in Tokyo) and CFO of Pepsi-Cola International’s Asia Division (based in Hong Kong). He currently sits on the Board of Corning Incorporated and holds a B.S. and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Don knows how to build a sustainable business for the long-term, and we’re looking forward to drawing on his expertise as we continue to grow and scale our company.”
