Ruggable has appointed former Nike and The North Face executive Nicole Otto as its chief executive officer (CEO).

The maker of washable rugs said Otto is a highly accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience leading top-tier consumer brands. Otto was with VF Corporation for over two years as global brand president of The North Face, a role she left in June 2024.

Otto worked for Nike, Inc. for nearly 17 years, ascending through the company ranks after starting as an IT director, touching primarily on digital solutions roles at the VP/GM level until her last position as VP/GM of Nike Direct for North America. She served as a senior advisory consultant with McKinsey & Company between roles.

“As I begin my journey with Ruggable, I’m inspired by the transformative impact the brand has had on home and interior design. As we look to the future, our focus will be on accelerating Ruggable’s growth by creating opportunities to expand our brand, amplify our impact and strengthen connections with our consumers and stakeholders in meaningful ways,” offered Otto.

“Nicole shares our vision to redefine the future of home textiles and deliver on our mission to fill every home with design-forward, innovative products that spark joy,” said Ruggable Founder Jeneva Bell. “With her global and omni-channel expansion experience, we’re confident that she will successfully lead Ruggable through its next phase of growth over the coming years.”
