James Park, CEO and co-founder of Fitbit, will deliver the keynote address at the Leaders in Technology (LIT) Dinner at the upcoming CES 2016. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), formerly the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and will run January 6-9, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV.
The LIT Dinner will take place at 6:30 PM Thursday, January 7, in the Lafite Ballroom at the Wynn. The invitation-only event gathers and honors the top technologists, entrepreneurs and policy makers instrumental in furthering technology innovation.

Park and Eric Friedman co-founded Fitbit in 2007 after recognizing that sensors and wireless technology had advanced to a point where they held the potential to transform the health and fitness industry. This set the founders on their path to build an innovative platform that today helps motivate millions of users to achieve their goals both individually and within the community of Fitbit users they choose through data, inspiration and guidance. Since its origin, the company has sold more than 30 million devices and reaches people in more than 55 countries.
Park has served as chairman of Fitbit since May 2015, as a member of the Fitbit board of directors since March 2007, and as president and CEO since September 2007. Previously, Mr. Park served as a director of product development at CNET Networks, Inc., an online media company. Prior to CNET Networks, Mr. Park served as the president and a cofounder of WindUp Labs Inc., an online photo sharing company acquired by CNET Networks in April 2005. He was also chief technology officer and a co-founder of Epesi Technologies Inc., a software company. Mr. Park attended Harvard College where he studied computer science.
