Firelight Corp. acquired Slotline Golf, Inc.’s golf club and putter business this week, in a deal which should make them a major player in the golf industry. Exact details were not given, but the sale includes the right to use the Slotline name and to manufacture and market all pre-existing models and designs.

Jay D. Haber, Chairman and CEO of Firelight, said, “[the acquisition] is an important step for Firelight as Slotline has been a mainstay among golf enthusiasts for a quarter of a century. We hope to bring back the unparalleled quality and innovative designs that made Slotline a household name….”

Firelight also entered into an agreement with Duke Duclos, Slotline’s founder, for the design of at least five new putters. Firelight expects to debut the new Slotline putter models at the PGA Show in Orlando in late January and at specialty retailers beginning in Q2 of this year.
