Fila Golf , exclusively licensed in North America by Fersten Worldwide (FW), has been named Official 2013 Apparel Sponsor of KMR School of Golf, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit foundation based at Koolau Golf Club that helps youth in Hawaii become world-class junior players.
Continuing its partnership with KMR that began in 2012, Fila Golf is outfitting all students at the foundation. The apparel, headwear and outerwear items will be worn by these junior stars during local, national and international golf competitions.
“Weve had a wonderful year collaborating with Fila Golf and have showcased the brand’s clothing to a whole new market, that being the competitive junior golf community,” says KMR founder and top-rated instructor Kevin Ralbovsky. “The unique patterns and perfect fits draw attention to our students, with players, parents, fans, employees and volunteers all taking notice.”
Fila Golf’s latest offerings focus on styles that feel great and offer superior coverage from the elements. The newest developments feature UV protectant, eco-friendly and wrinkle-resistant fabrics that play with texture and solid color combinations. Highlight pieces like the Bedford and Newport long-sleeve polo’s are made from 91-percent Recycled Polyester with silver nylon-mesh side seam paneling for added moisture-wicking comfort. The new outerwear offerings feature longer lengths for greater body coverage and warmth, the lining is a combination of Polyester and Bamboo, thus continuing the tradition of using eco- friendly fibers while providing superior water resistance and breathability.
“Becoming more exposed to the competitive junior golf community has been wonderful for the partnership with KMR,” says Nancy Robitaille, Fila Golf principal designer. “Were looking forward to what 2013 has in store for these future pros as they continue to succeed while wearing Fila Golf.”
