Dave Kruger has joined Epic Kayaks as director of technology and manufacturing.
Kruger brings a lifetime of paddling experience with him to Epic. Growing up in Wisconsin as an avid canoe/kayak paddler and racer, he learned early on how to couple his passion for paddling with his attention to detail and construction knowledge.
His expertise and skills with high-tech materials and construction took him from boat building, to leadership roles with an Aerospace firm utilizing composite components for Boeing Aircraft; but his draw was always to canoes and kayaks.
Kruger earned his reputation in paddlesports through key roles with Wenonah Canoe and Bell Canoe Works. At Wenonah/Current Designs Kruger was instrumental in key product designs and held supervisory roles in crucial aspects of the manufacturing process.
His success with Wenonah led him to Bell Canoe, where some of his accomplishments include the establishment of a first rate manufacturing facility and making key improvements in quality and workmanship.
