Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) has acquired PressCamp, a media-meet-manufacturer event business focused on the cycling industry, from Lifeboat Events, LLC.

As part of the acquisition, Lifeboat Events founder Lance Camisasca will join ECRM as VP of Sports, a newly created role at the company where he will lead sales and marketing efforts for all future PressCamp events. Additionally, Chad Battistone of Lifeboat Events will assist the ECRM Sports team as an Operations Manager.

“The success PressCamp events have demonstrated in the cycling industry makes it an ideal addition to the existing events platform of ECRM and meets our objective to develop an enhanced events portfolio in vertical markets,” said Greg Farrar, CEO, ECRM. “This is about growing and serving our customers better. It's about taking the opportunity to enter into markets that we don't currently serve.”

“This is a big day for Lifeboat Events,” Camisasca said. “We knew finding a strategic buyer for PressCamp would be paramount in
assuring we could continue to create meaningful and strong events going
forward. ECRM has the resources and bandwidth to create additional PressCamp's for the cycling industry as well as events for other active lifestyle markets. ECRM's vision for any industry needing intimate, high quality media and brand interactions is invigorating.”

With 35 years of experience in the cycling industry, Lance Camisasca began Lifeboat Events, LLC in 2008 after leaving the helm of Interbike, a major bicycle industry trade show. Between Lance Camisasca and Chad Battistone, these veterans have extensive experience developing, launching and running events, which will translate seamlessly into the ECRM process.

ECRM combined with PressCamp presents the unique opportunity to leverage a robust event portfolio, in a proven and substantial enthusiast market, with the proprietary events software and streamlined meeting solutions that ECRM is known for.  Since 1994, over 1,000 events have been held worldwide using ECRM's services in various categories including grocery, general merchandise, foodservice, health & beauty care, pharmacy and packaging.
