Axon Sports is giving away 25,000 cognitive Baseline tests to schools, clubs and youth sports associations across America – 100 sets of 250 Baseline tests. Eastbay is lending its marketing strength to spread the word.

As reported, Eastbay and Axon Sports on March 28 announced a partnership as part of National Brain Injury Awareness Month. The two planned to increase awareness of cognitive Baseline testing as part of an Athlete's overall pre-season preparation.

As part of the giveaway, athletes at www.axonsports.com can create secure accounts then use an
online test to establish a snapshot of their brain speed and accuracy.
Medical Providers can use the test results to help determine when it's
safe for an Athlete to return to the classroom or to competitive play
following a concussion.

Eastbay will continue to build awareness of this important service to
youth Athletes from Axon Sports through its 70 million catalogs
published annually and its popular website www.eastbay.com.

“We encourage Athletes and Parents to subscribe to the emerging best practice of seasonal Baseline testing of athletes' brain speed and accuracy before taking the field,” said Dowe Tillema, president and CEO of Eastbay. “Axon Sports makes it easy!”

“This giveaway underscores the importance of Baseline testing in sports-related concussion management,” said Polly James, Axon Sports president and CEO. “With concussions on the rise across all sports, it's important that Athletes have access to concussion management programs that include cognitive Baseline testing.”

Axon Sports provides the Axon Sports Computerized Cognitive Assessment Tool (CCAT), as well as educational resources on a wide range of topics surrounding its proper use within an overall concussion management program.
