Eagle Creek appointed Jamie Marchbank as vice president of product, effective immediately.
An integral part of the management team, Marchbank will be responsible for leading the company’s efforts in developing, managing and driving product design and development, as well as providing leadership and vision for product design, sustainability and innovation activities across the Eagle Creek brand.
Marchbank comes to Eagle Creek with a deep resume, built on experience built in both luggage and the outdoor industry. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Marchbank was most recently VP of merchandising and design for Randa accessories luggage division, managing product for numerous brands including Timberland, Nautica and Columbia Sportswear. Before that, Marchbank was at Thule, launching the brand into the pack and bag segment, and started his softgoods career leading the US design team at Samsonite.
“We are excited to have Jamie onboard the Eagle Creek team,” said Roger Spatz, president at Eagle Creek. “His experience and strong focus on design innovation and durability will build an even stronger product, and his impressive background in both management and design will benefit the brand and the culture at Eagle Creek.”
“To me, Eagle Creek represents the true authenticity of a heritage brand paired with unbelievable quality of product,” said Marchbank. “I’ve followed Eagle Creek throughout my career and have always admired its product innovation as well as its category innovation. I am very excited to contribute to shaping the future of such an iconic brand.“
