The UK-based action sports technology company, Drift Innovation, officially announces the opening of its newly created U.S. office, to support the growing market in North and South America and also to launch a direct to consumer e-commerce website.
The new Drift offices will be located in Vail, CO, where Drift’s North American director and point of view camera market veteran, John Rounds, will oversee operations. Drift chose the Vail Valley location because it is in the heart of U.S. skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking territory. From an industry and company culture perspective, the strategically based location is ideal for the wearable POV action camera company.
As of September 2012, the Drift HD and its accessories will be available directly to U.S. consumers at www.driftinnovation.com via the new U.S. management. The Drift HD’s popularity in the U.S. market is largely attributed to its many valuable features, including an integrated LCD screen, wireless remote control, and crystal clear HD video.
“By establishing Drift offices and planting roots in the United States, we are in a position to better serve our North American customers. Selling direct in the U.S. allows us to tighten communication between Drift and the end user, meet consumer demands and anticipate growth trends more accurately,” said Rounds. “We are also excited to be welcoming several new members to our team. We have a lot to look forward to.”
Coinciding with the expansion, the new Colorado office is seeking applicants for technical and customer service positions, as well as a e-commerce manager.
