Deuter has officially become a bluesign member. With this membership, Deuter's products are designated as meeting strict international requirements regarding sustainability, health and safety (EHS). All bluesign products guarantee the use of components and processes that are harmless to people and environmentally friendly.

As a bluesign member, Deuter agrees to deliver a maximum of sustainability and safety in all products. The entire manufacturing chain, from raw materials to chemical components to the final production, has to fulfill strict requirements. This also involves full supply chain transparency.

bluesign was founded in 2000 in Switzerland and quickly established itself within the industry as the pioneering standard for sustainability, health and safety. The criteria for membership include the use of toxic-free ingredients, the optimization of resource efficiency during production as well as occupational health and consumer safety.

According to Bernd Kullman, managing director for Deuter worldwide, “Our membership to bluesign marks a very important step for us. With bluesign the industry has reached a new level of ecological and health responsibility…”
