Danner boots will air The Trembling Giant, a feature-length hunt film developed in association with Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) and GORE-TEX Products, in a two-part series on The Sportsman Channel. Taking place during The Sportsman Channel’s Dirt Road Drive-in week, the first part will premiere on May 22, 2014 at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT and the second will follow on May 23, 2014 at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT. A second two-part broadcast will take place June 11-12, 2014 prior to the Father’s Day holiday.

The Trembling Giant is inspired by the beauty of elk camp, the passion for hunting in the rugged Rocky Mountains, and the unique connection between man, animal and nature. The majority of The Trembling Giant was shot by a nimble three-man crew that spent more than a month in Colorado’s Flat Tops Wilderness. They followed three hunting groups- a team of athletes, a team of old timers and a father and daughter duo-each trying to call in a mature bull. The Trembling Giant premiered at RMEF headquarters in August 2013, where it kicked off a limited screening tour that traveled throughout the Western states in fall 2013.

“We are thrilled to bring this film to a national audience with The Sportsman Channel,” said Laurie Thomas, Director of Marketing for Danner. “The story is timeless and connects with hunters of all ages, as well as their families.  It celebrates every aspect of the hunt – the anticipation, preparation and those unexpected moments that leave you breathless.”

Following the film’s broadcast on The Sportsman Channel, The Trembling Giant will be available to purchase in DVD format on www.danner.com and at Danner retail stores August 2014. For more information about The Trembling Giant, go to www.TremblingGiant.com.
