Wacoal Sports Science's CW-X Conditioning Wear has added four full-time employees and four independent sales representatives.

Shane Armando and Derek McDaniel have been added as brand development representatives, new hires Shara Leonard and Rebecca Wisniewski are sales and marketing assistants, and new independent sales reps are Eric Knollmeyer and Travis McDowell (southeast), Dan Miller (southwest and Hawaii), and Tom Pursell (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas).

“By staying focused, and remaining true to the core outdoor athlete, CW-X has steadily grown in popularity,” said John L.A. Wilson, executive vice president. “We created a new category – Conditioning Wear – that resonates with consumers who take their outdoor sports activities seriously, and need the anatomical support benefit that only CW-X offers.”


Two new brand development representatives will be responsible for growing CW-X brand awareness at the retail and consumer level through education, merchandising and promotion.

Derek McDaniel comes to CW-X with previous experience in snow sport retail sales at King Keyser Ski (Ill.) and Resort Quest Ski and Sport (Colo.). He will cover brand development for the Central U.S. region. Derek is a former member of the track and field squad at Purdue University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He is also a certified Level One ski instructor and a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.

Shane Armando joins CW-X with previous experience in retail support at REI in Boulder. Shane also has sales and marketing experience from his time at Ski Racing Magazine and will handle brand development for the Western U.S. region. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, and is also a certified ski instructor. His other interests include cycling and running.

In order to provide more support for marketing and sales activities and offer more service to retail partners, CW-X has increased its bench strength in New York, adding Shara Leonard and Rebecca Wisniewski as sales and marketing assistants. Shara recently finished her MBA in Marketing Management from St. John's University (2005). Rebecca recently completed her BA, Communications at William Paterson University. Both will work at CW-X headquarters in New York.


Eric Knollmeyer and Travis McDowell have recently joined the CW-X team with the Lane Group in North Carolina.
Dan Miller of Pacific Crest Trading Inc., will cover Southern California, Arizona, Hawaii and southern Nevada/Las Vegas.


CW-X now has representation in all 50 states with the hiring of Tom Pursell of Texas Outdoors to cover the southwest, including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
