The Conservation Alliance organized special promotions with 10 member companies at the July Outdoor Retailer trade show that raised nearly $30,000 during the four-day event. In most cases, the members hosted booth events and sold product to benefit the Alliance.

Companies that hosted events are: Ahnu; Brooks Running; CamelBak; Columbia Sportswear; Dansko; KEEN, Inc.; Mountain Khakis; Montrail; Ruff Wear; and Stanley Outdoors.

“We’re grateful to our members that go above-and-beyond to support our work to protect wild places,” said John Sterling, Conservation Alliance Executive Director. “We also hope those members derive some branding benefit from partnering in this way.”

During the show, The Conservation Alliance celebrated its 20th anniversary, adding energy to each of the events. Since 1989, the organization has contributed more than $7 million to conservation projects, helping protect 49 million acres of land and 17,000 miles of rivers.

“We have a lot to celebrate, and we love it when our members join us in recognizing our good work,” said Sterling. “We look forward to working with more of our members to host fundraising events like this.”
