Confluence Sells Trimaran Business…

Following its acquisition of Watermark, Confluence Holdings decided to focus on its core paddlesports segment and sell-off its WindRider brand of Trimarans. Following this decision, Don Maxwell, a WindRider sailing enthusiast, formed WindRider, LLC and made a successful bid to acquire the brand and all of its assets including brand name, molds, designs, and intellectual properties. Also, WindRider.com and 800-311-SAIL will be transferred from Confluence to WindRider shortly. The new company will be headquartered in Sandstone, MN. Maxwell plans to market and develop new models, upgrade and refine the current line, and provide parts and service for all previous WindRider models. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
