British fashion designer Christopher RÆBURN is the new Global Creative Director for Timberland.

The designer, who has carved out a name for himself in the fashion industry thanks to his wildly successful brand, Christopher RÆBURN, will unveil his first collection for Timberland Fall/Winter 2020. He will continue to head up his own label which is based in London.

RÆBURN, pictured above right, will be a key to developing Timberland’s global creative vision across all product categories, marketing and in-store environments.

RÆBURN’s design ethos is based on three key principals—Remade, Reduced, Recycled—which aligns with Timberland’s commitment to manufacture collections responsibly and steadily increase the brand’s use of recycled, organic and renewable materials over time.

Timberland and RÆBURN first collaborated on a global apparel capsule collection, shown here, inspired by vintage Timberland pieces that debuted earlier this year and shown at London Fashion Week. The collection launches online and at retail today.

As creative director, RÆBURN will partner with Timberland’s global product, marketing and innovation teams to create a collection of Timberland footwear, apparel and accessories for FW 2020.

“I’ve been watching the Timberland brand for many years and have always been drawn to its commitment to be a responsible business. I see an incredible opportunity for Timberland to break out and put responsible, innovative design at the center of the brand’s creative strategy. It’s an exciting moment to join forces with Timberland—a company set to evolve following decades of good work. I’m honored to be partnering with a company with such strong values, and I’m truly excited to be making a difference on a global scale.” — ChristopherRÆBURN
