Quiksilver Americas has granted CF Brand, an Orange County-based targeted apparel company, the license for Quiksilver Performance branded apparel and related accessories. Originally launched in 2006 as Quiksilver EQPT and later renamed Quiksilver Performance, the collection of technical performance apparel will now be manufactured, promoted, sold and distributed exclusively by CF Brand in the U.S.

“Quiksilver Performance is still a huge opportunity to grow our business and to provide valuable solutions for our customers. The idea remains powerful and demand is still strong.  And right now, we feel that the experts at CF Brand are the ones who can help realize the vision while still staying true to the Quiksilver brand,” said Bob McKnight, president and CEO of Quiksilver.

“CF Brand understands the potential of the Quiksilver Performance line, and with our close proximity to Quiksilver, we will be able to work together to maximize its distribution,” said Greg Washer, president of CF Brand. “We also understand the importance of brand integrity and we will continue to strive to use Quiksilver's insight and innovation to increase the performance abilities of the line. Our intention is to build inventory positions for team and club sport demands across the country while increasing distribution of Quiksilver Performance into quality sporting good stores.”

Brian Lewis, pro beach volleyball legend and the former National Sales
Manager of Quiksilver Performance will ensure a fluid transition and the
enduring success of the project as the National Sales Manager and Director of Marketing for CF Brand.

CF Brand has already begun selling the Fall collection of Quiksilver
Performance, which will be available at sporting goods stores, fitness
clubs, better department stores, specialty active lifestyle retailers and
military stores in June of 2009. CF Brand, who also specializes in
promotional accounts and holds the license for New Era Cap in the corporate market, will begin offering Quiksilver Performance through team and corporate sales for the Holiday 2009 season.
