The Taylor Haugen Foundation is launching a national #PledgetoProtect campaign to foster open dialogue about the issue of abdominal injuries and encourage better protection against them. The foundation also set a goal to make abdominal protection equipment mandatory for youth football.

Dick’s Sporting Goods reported earnings that easily topped Wall Street’s targets but sales came in well below as weakness from Under Armour continued to place a drag on sales. On a conference call with analysts, Ed Stack, CEO, said the company is “repositioning” its Under Armour business, including gaining more exclusives from the brand while finding other product to fill traditional Under Armour space.

Garmin Ltd. announced the company has acquired Flight Plan LLC (FltPlan), a privately held provider of electronic flight planning, scheduling, and trip support services, including the popular website FltPlan.com and mobile application FltPlan Go.
