BSN Sports Acquires H&L Sporting Goods

BSN Sports, a division of Varsity Brands, announced that it has finalized the acquisition of H&L Sporting Goods, Inc. (“H&L”), based in Everett, WA. H&L has been serving team sports customers in the Seattle Metro area since 1940.

Survey: March Madness Seen Boosting Employee Morale

Kohl’s Q4 Tops Wall Street’s Targets

Kohl’s Inc. reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue in the fourth quarter and provided an upbeat outlook for 2019. Earnings on an adjusted basis rose 17 percent on lower operating expenses and a 1 percent same-store gain.

Play It Again Sport Parent Sees Flat Q4 Profits

Winmark Corp., the parent of Play It Again Sports, reported net income for the fourth quarter of $7.65 million, or $1.83 per share diluted, compared to net income of $7.64 million, or $1.86, for the same period last year.

Bandier Secures $34M In Funding

New York City-based Bandier, the women’s activewear retailer, has raised $34.4 million in funding. The investors included C Ventures and Eurazeo Brands, which is taking a minority stake in Bandier. Adrienne Lazarus, who formerly led
Frye and Intermix, has been hired as CEO.
