Margaret Doran Hired As VP Of Sales For Pendleton Footwear

Portland Product Werks has announced that Margaret Doran has joined the team as vice president of sales for Pendleton Footwear. Most recently Doran was vice president at jewelry brand Alex and Ani and this move to Pendleton Footwear brings Margaret back to her roots in the footwear market.

Skechers Partners with Petco To Help Dogs And Cats

Building on its philanthropic history with animal charities, Skechers has entered a multi-year partnership with the Petco Foundation. The footwear company will continue to help save the lives of dogs and cats through its charity line Bobs from Skechers, donating a portion of its proceeds to the Petco Foundation’s charity network.

Canada Goose Slides On Downgrade

Shares of Canada Goose fell Canadian$4.73, or 7.1 percent, to C$46.05 Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange after Wells Fargo downgraded the stock. The analysts pointed to less search traffic on popular internet search engines looking for Canada Goose merchandise, and concerns about international trade.

Brooks Sees Record Year In 2018

Brooks Running Co. reported global revenue reached a record $644 million in 2018, a 26-percent year-over-year. The gain was driven by a 28-percent increase in global footwear sales. Apparel stabilized and grew 7 percent.

RunnerClick Survey Finds Women, Seniors Pacing Marathon Growth

RunnerClick, the online community dedicated to running, has come out with what it describes as the “largest recreational marathon research study,” spanning 39 countries. Among the findings was that the U.S. has the highest proportion of female runners, making it the most gender equal country (45 percent female), followed by Canada (40 percent female). Greece is the worse in terms of female participation with 90 percent male and 10 percent female.

L.L.Bean Gives $4 Million To Nonprofit Organizations In 2018

L.L.Bean announced year-end approval of its charitable program, contributing $4 million in grants, products and sponsorships in 2018 through its newly named L.L.Bean Outdoor Access Fund and L.L.Bean Community Fund. Grants included the National Park Foundation and The Trust for Public Land.
