Cascade Designs, the U.S. and European-based parent company of Thermarest, MSR, Platypus, SealLine and PackTowl, appointed John Twomey as distributor sales and European marketing manager for Europe.
Twomey brings nearly a decade of experience in the sporting goods industry as an Irish sales manager for Adidas. He has also worked in various sales and marketing positions in both the telecommunications and food sectors.
The new position represents the company’s commitment to growing and serving the European market. Twomey will oversee European and distributor sales and all marketing and public relations activities for Europe.
“Twomeys’ years of experience positions him perfectly for taking on this new role,” said James Cotter, managing director, European business. “We look forward to him driving forward a company that has created long-lasting and innovative products for over 40 years.”
Twomey will work out of the company’s European headquarters located in Cork, Ireland, which manufactures many of its products for the European market.
