Brooks Running, which is based in Seattle, WA, is restricting all non-essential travel and encouraging employees to work from home if possible as part of its response to the coronavirus outbreak.

CEO, Jim Weber said in a statement to SGB Media, “We are responding to the evolving impacts of COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) worldwide. Given the number of cases in the greater Seattle area, where our global headquarters team and building are located, we have paused all non-critical business travel in and out of the area, educated employees on CDC recommendations for personal hygiene habits, and upgraded cleaning materials and practices in our HQ building. As well, we’ve encouraged employees to work from home if feasible and avoid face-to-face meetings if not. We currently have no known exposure throughout our HQ team. We are assessing the situation daily and following recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and local public health authorities. Our priorities are helping employees stay healthy and safe, keeping our business running, servicing our customers, and staying connected with each other.”
