The Bridgedale, Hilly and Mountain Equipment brands are merging North American distribution channels to create Outdoor & Sports Company Inc.
Bridgedale, a designer and manufacturer of outdoor and wintersports socks, and Hilly, a manufacturer of running socks for both urban and trail running, joined forces with Mountain Equipment apparel and accessories, forming OSC Inc. All three brands will now share a central customer service department, as well as a central warehouse and distribution facility based in Buffalo, NY.
“The efficiencies derived from this merger will benefit all three brands from a customer service, distribution and marketing standpoint, and ultimately help our retailers find the best products for their stores across a variety of brands and product categories,” said Colin Sanders, managing director at OSC. “We are excited to introduce OSC to our retailers at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. The new company will enhance efficiency, reduce operating costs, and in time, introduce successful brands that we currently own in other countries.”
