According to news reports, Break The Cycle, a charity dedicated to stopping domestic violence through youth activism, filed a $10 million lawsuit accusing adidas of using its name and logo on a line of apparel, without permission.

Break the Cycle said that adidas used its trademark, name or logo on at least 40 different products in its “Respect ME” clothing line endorsed by rap artist, Missy Elliott. The logo was allegedly used without a formal agreement authorizing their use. Elliott was a spokesperson for the charity and launched the “Respect ME” clothing line with a percentage of the proceeds donated to Break the Cycle. adidas has not issued a formal response to the allegations.
