BrandBlack has signed Desean Jackson, the star wide receiver from the Washington Redskins, to an endorsement deal and is entering the football cleat category.
BrandBlack had only been making basketball shoes with Jamal Crawford as its lead endorser. The brand was launched in 2013 by footwear veteran David Raysse.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the Brandblack family. Their products are a true crossover of cutting edge street style and high performance sportswear. This isn’t your average brand, it’s for those who like to stand out from the rest. It’s a perfect fit for me and I am excited about my future with this forward thinking company,” Jackson said in a press release. “Our mantra is ‘look good winning.”
The DJX speed cleats, $110, were designed with the help of Jackson and features bright blue bottom soles. The apparel and footwear collection is slated to hit retail in 2016.
