Booth Creek Ski Holdings managed to keep its head above water this quarter, in spite of what was described as “very volatile and frustrating weather conditions for the better part of the ski season,” in New Hampshire, and “the balmiest March in 70 years, with daily high temperature records set for 13 of 14 days,” for the conglomerate’s California resorts.

The company reported total skier visits for the second quarter were 1,028,000, a decline of 12,000 visits, or 1%, from 2003. For the six-month year to date period total skier visits were 1,981,000, an increase of 28,000 visits, or 1% from the 2003. Season pass revenues, which the company reported rose 18% to $12.0 million for the 2004 period, more than offset the impact of reduced lift ticket sales.
