Body Fit Training (BFT) opened its first Canadian studio in Toronto, marking the company’s North American growth after being acquired by Xponential Fitness, Inc. last year.

With more than 200 studio locations in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the U.K., the U.S., and Canada, BFT has more than 500 licensed locations globally and is on target to grow stateside.

“Functional and strength training are how a majority of consumers exercise today, and BFT is ready to meet them where they are,” said Lou DeFrancisco, president, BFT. “With the concept already amassing success, we are excited to bring our workout to North America with dozens of passionate franchise partners.”

Following BFT’s Canadian introduction, the boutique fitness franchise plans to expand in the United States. With two locations open in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Santa Monica, CA, the brand has signed franchise agreements to bring studios to Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Diego, San Jose, and Tampa.

Xponential Fitness brands include Club Pilates, Pure Barre, CycleBar, StretchLab, YogaSix, Row House, Rumble, STRIDE Fitness, and AKT.
