The TJX Companies Inc. reported that comp store sales for Bob’s Stores increased 6.0% for the second quarter ended July 29, netting a 7.6% increase in total sales to $64.3 million from $59.8 million in the year-ago period. The division operated 36 stores at the end of Q2, up two doors from the 34 stores operating at quarter-end last year.
Bob’s Stores posted a $4.0 million operating loss for the period, compared to a $9.2 million loss in the 2005 second quarter.
