Jeff Johnson, automotive sales and marketing manager for Yakima, has been named as the first Yakima employee to be selected to the Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) Select Committee.

LTAA, one of eight councils under the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), serves to encourage product quality as well as service and business practices benefiting manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and customers of the light-truck accessory industry.

“The LTAA is an important trade association serving a growing automotive category, important to Yakima’s long term growth,” said Johnson. “I look forward to working with my colleagues whose mission is to shape the future of the light-truck accessory industry. Our goal is to ensure the viability and longevity of this increasingly expansive and vibrant market segment.”

Johnson started with Yakima five years ago as an account executive, responsible for growing and marketing to the automotive side of the business with accounts like Ford, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota. His responsibilities further expanded to include warehouse distribution and cap and RV Channels with customers like A.R.E., Fleetwood Trailers, Keystone Automotive, Lance Campers, along with Raider Industries and SnugTop.

Prior to being elected as a member of the LTAA Select Committee, Johnson served on the LTAA Long Range Planning Committee, LTAA Image Development Task Force Sub-Committee, and was involved with Spring SEMA and SEMA activities/sponsorship programs.
