BMC Trading Company, the Swiss cycling company, appointed Frank Aeschbacher as head of sales. For the last seven years Aeschbacher headed action sport and sporting goods companies in the United States. He has a proven track record of building global distribution and strong sales teams.
“I'm really looking forward to leverage my experience to build out the global distribution for BMC,” Aeschbacher said. “I am very confident that we will achieve further growth with this fascinating brand in the near future.”
Aeschbacher starts his new position on February 15.
Frank Schreiner will take on his role as global head of marketing (member of the management board) on March 1. Schreiner has 10 years of experience in the industry. After five years with Giant, he led Cannondale marketing since 2005. From 2008 on he was also responsible for the marketing of the Cycling Sports Group brands in the EMEA region.
“2010 will be a key year and set the future direction of the brand. We are happy to have a person (Schreiner) on board, with a proven record of successes in building brands in the bicycle industry with integrative efforts,” said Mike Huerlimann, chief executive officer of BMC Trading Company.
