Blizzard/Tecnica announced the hiring of Christian Avery as national product manager.
Avery will report directly to Jed Duke, director of product marketing for Blizzard/Tecnica USA.
As the national product manager, Avery will work closely with the Blizzard/Tecnica in-house team and national sales force with a focus on the U.S. market. In addition to effective management of the physical product collections, Avery will also focus on enhanced product information management to provide a better brand experience with retailers and consumers.
“We are very excited to have Christian on board. He brings a tremendous passion for the sport of skiing, as well as a wealth of experience in digital information management to our team,” commented Duke. In addition to product management, Avery will raise Blizzard/Tecnica standards in product excellence by optimizing the consistency, quality and accessibility of the company’s product information across all brand touch points.
“Product excellence is a foundational pillar of Blizzard/Tecnica, and with the addition of Christian to our team, we are not only strengthening this pillar, but also taking it to the next level,” continued Duke.
Born and raised in Lyme, NH, Avery grew up skiing at the Dartmouth Skiway. He went on to race for Ford Sayre Academy while attending Hanover High School. Upon graduating from Hanover, Avery raced for Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, where he majored in Global Supply Chain Management. During his time at Clarkson, Avery also interned for Tecnica Group USA in the sales and operations department. For the past two years, Avery has been the alpine supply planner in the service excellence team for Tecnica Group.
