BlackStrap, the manufacturer of face gear, base layers and accessories for winter sports, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts, is the primary sponsor and bib supplier of the U.S. American Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) events and competitions.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with USASA as a sponsor and competition bib supplier,” said Jim Sanco, brand manager. “We pride ourselves heavily on our deep roots in freeskiing and riding and are honored to be involved in supplying the new and next generation of talent in the sport.”
BlackStrap-branded textiles are milled in the U.S. Finished products are designed, printed and sewn domestically, closing the loop on its Made in the USA product lifecycle.
“Working with Blackstrap as our bib provider for this year’s USASA regional event series and national championships has been amazing,” said Mike Mallon, executive director, USASA. “Our competitors and members are stoked, and it’s important for us to work with a brand like BlackStrap who understands and is passionate about the freeski and snowboard space and is committed to making products in the U.S.”
USASA is a California-based nonprofit organization that is represented by 32 regional series across the U.S. USASA has over 5,000 athlete members and 600-plus coaches and officials. USASA hosts 500-plus snowboard and freeski events annually at approximately 120 ski resorts in the U.S. The USASA National Championship is the largest snowboard and freeskiing event worldwide and has been held consistently by the USASA for 29 years.
