Black Diamond Equipment Ltd. hired Adam Chamberlain as Marketing Brand Manager, Nathan Kuder as Softgoods Category Manager and Steve Kropf as the Rockies region Sales Representative for its Ski and Mountain lines.

“We are exceptionally pleased with the addition of Adam, Nathan and Steve to our team,” states Black Diamond CEO Peter Metcalf, who continues, “These individuals add diverse backgrounds and experience to our culture, yet each is passionate about the sports and markets we serve”

Chamberlain comes to Black Diamond after more than a decade at Patagonia, where he most recently served as the Product Marketing Manager. With a life defined by telemark and backcountry skiing and enthusiasm for climbing, Chamberlain also has fieldwork experience with the Nevada Wilderness Project and the Peace Corps, where he worked in Honduras as a Natural Resources Specialist.

“Adam’s career has personified the mutually compatible concepts of doing well while doing good for humanity, all the while taking his work and himself to the next level,” comments Metcalf.

Chamberlain is eagerly anticipating his move to BD. “The opportunity to return to the mountains, help to strengthen Black Diamond’s brand and work with such a passionate and focused team is ideal for me at this point in my life and career.”

With seven years experience at Osprey Packs, Kuder joins BD’s Softgoods team with a solid command of development and production. In addition to serving as Osprey’s Product Manager, Kuder also worked as the company’s Sustainability Director, a role that will sync well with Black Diamond’s commitment to preserving the environment. Kuder is a devoted parent, telemark skier and mountain traveler.

Kropf joins the Black Diamond sales team having been the co-founder and former President of Indigo Equipment Inc., a company that specialized in backcountry hardgoods and innovative backpack designs. Prior to Indigo, Kropf worked and lived in Jackson, WY, where he was the Sales and Product Manager for Life Link International. Kropf currently resides in Aspen, CO, and will handle the Black Diamond Ski Line and components of the Mountain Line, including gloves, headlamps and packs.

Kropf says, “Having worked in many aspects of the outdoor and ski businesses for years, I am proud to be joining the ranks of Black Diamond. The current line of skis, bindings, shovels and packs are super innovative, and the pending introduction of new product makes this an exciting time to join the team. The energy, drive and product focus that currently resides within BD is absolutely contagious.”
