Birkenstock continues expanding its retail presence in Paris. On March 27, the brand opened its second store in the historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood, following its successful opening of a store in 2024 in Paris’ Marais district.

Located at 4 Rue de Sèvres in the 6th Arrondissement, a village-like neighborhood renowned for its mix of culture and heritage in center of Paris, the 85-square-meter storefront joins a network of 38 stores across eight European countries.

The store’s interior reflects the brand’s heritage and that of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Clay-plastered walls, a concrete floor, and a light beige ceiling combine with cork, leather and dark-stained oak wood — reflecting Birkenstock’s “iconic design elements.” Silver aluminum displays with a matte finish offer a modern contrast.

A library-inspired wall of dark-stained oak wood pays homage to the district’s literary legacy and integrates interchangeable visuals to present the brand’s product line.

Complimenting the space is a central seating area made with leather and large mirrors to amplify a sense of openness, while sharp-edged metal coffee tables provide a modern twist. A mirrored wall wraps around the interior corner of the store, enhancing the feel of additional depth and dimension. Throughout the space, original shoe lasts are displayed.

At the back of the store, a round light box in the ceiling floods the space with natural light. Beneath it, a display highlights the Birkenstock 1774 collection, a contemporary take on the brand’s signature designs.

Customers will find iconic styles, seasonal pieces, Birkenstock’s Care Essentials collection, shoe care product range, and the exclusive 1774 premium collection when shopping in-store.
