Big Rock Sports LLC announced plans to open a brand-new 100,000-square-foot distribution center later this year in Reno, NV to serve their Western U.S. customers.
The new Reno distribution center will enable Big Rock Sports to have the right products in the right location, allowing for two-day delivery to most customers in the Western states. Reno is considered the distribution hub of the West and is strategically located among the 11 Western states. The company is scheduled to start shipping product from this new facility by the end of 2017.

Big Rock Sports will relocate product volume from their Fresno, CA and Clackamas, OR distribution centers to the new Reno facility. The company will continue serving Northwest customers with their existing sales team from a new office they plan to open in the Clackamas area. “Our long history of serving customers in the Northwest region will remain a high priority and we will stay firmly committed to growing those relationships,” said Melville.
Opening the Reno distribution center is the final phase of a plan that Big Rock Sports has been working on for several years to serve US-based customers from three strategically located, regional distribution centers: East, Central and West. This simplified, three-distribution center footprint gives Big Rock Sports national coverage and two-day or less delivery time to the majority of their customers. Most customers will experience a simple, one-distribution center relationship with Big Rock Sports. The number of split shipments for customers will be drastically reduced, saving retailers added expenses and simplifying their transactions with Big Rock. All firearms have been consolidated into Big Rock’s Central facility and their firearms shipping policy has been simplified to allow for industry-leading two-day parcel delivery to every customer in the contiguous lower 48 states.
